Understanding your bill
What the line items mean, how proration works, and where to see receipts.
Stripe bills your subscription monthly on the day of the cycle. The amount changes only when seats change.
Reading an invoice
A typical invoice looks like:
- Plan: LendAxiom CRM with iMessage. Per-seat price.
- Quantity: number of active seats.
- Subtotal: per-seat price times quantity.
- Tax: collected when your state requires it. Stripe handles this automatically.
- Prorated charges: when a seat is added mid-cycle, the prorated amount appears as a separate line.
- Credits: when a seat is removed, the unused portion appears as a credit on the next invoice.
Stripe customer portal
Go to Settings -> Billing -> Manage subscription. The button opens the Stripe-hosted billing portal where you can:
- See every past invoice
- Update the credit card on file
- Update billing address
- Download receipts
When you add a seat
The invoice updates immediately. Stripe charges your card for the prorated amount of the current cycle and your monthly bill increases starting next cycle.
When you remove a seat
The deactivated user is locked out immediately. Stripe credits your next invoice for the unused portion of the cycle. If the credit exceeds your next month's charge, the difference rolls forward; we never wire money back out automatically. Email [email protected] if you need a refund instead of a credit.
Tax
Stripe Tax handles US sales tax automatically based on your billing address. International customers will see VAT or GST when applicable. The tax line is its own item on every invoice.
