Creating drip campaigns

How a drip campaign is structured, when each message goes out, and how to pause one.

A drip campaign is an ordered sequence of messages that go out automatically when a lead enters a particular stage. LendAxiom ships with three default campaigns; you can edit them or build your own.

The three default campaigns

  • Welcome Series. Three messages over seven days. Triggered when a lead reaches the New Lead stage.
  • Nurture Sequence. Four messages over 30 days. Triggered when a lead reaches Pre-Qual but does not move to Application.
  • Rate Watch. Triggered when current market rates drop below a lead's target rate threshold.

The defaults are starting points. Customize the message bodies to match your voice; rename the stage triggers if your pipeline differs.

Building a custom campaign

  1. Settings -> Drip campaigns -> New campaign.
  2. Pick the trigger: a pipeline stage, a tag, or a date offset (e.g. 30 days after lead creation).
  3. Add steps. For each step set the channel (SMS, iMessage, email), the delay from the previous step, and the message body.
  4. Use template variables ({{first_name}}, {{loan_type}}, etc.) so each message feels personal.
  5. Save the campaign. New leads matching the trigger start receiving messages immediately; existing leads continue on whatever campaign they were already on.

Pausing a campaign

Two options:

  • Pause for a single lead: open the lead, click the running campaign, click Pause. Messages stop until you resume.
  • Pause campaign-wide: Settings -> Drip campaigns -> open the campaign -> Disable. Existing leads stop receiving new messages; new leads that hit the trigger are not enrolled.

Compliance

Every drip message includes an unsubscribe footer (email) or a STOP keyword note (SMS). When a lead replies STOP we mark them opted out and pause every active campaign on their lead.
